Faith Formation for Children

CLOW (Children's Liturgy of the Word)

Continuing the custom established when Jesus encouraged the little ones to “Come unto me,” our parish family values the faith experience of our young people. Children’s Liturgy offers a chance for students in grades K through 4 to experience the Word on a level they can follow. After the dismissal prayer, they listen to the same readings as the main assembly, but in language geared to their understanding. The discussion points are focused on finding the meaning of the Word as it applies to their daily life.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is very flexible, children are welcome to attend on any Sunday, and no registration is required. Parents are invited to accompany their child at any time and share the experience. We return around the time of the Offertory Song, so that we are present during the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Kate's Kids!

Serving our preschool children's need to worship God in a child friendly environment, Kate's Kids has been reaching out to the younger children for several years. We have come a long way and encountered the wonderful and rewarding experience of teaching our young children about our Catholic faith. There is a clear need as we have approximately 40-50 children between 3 and Kindergarten age who need a place to call their own.
Pre-Teen and Teen Volunteers can click here for helpful hints. All Kate’s Kids! volunteers and potential volunteers who want to learn more about Kate’s Kids! can click here to view the Kate’s Kids! Booklet. We created the booklet to convey all available information about this developing Kate’s Kids! Program, and to help you find ways to minister in this rewarding hour of instruction!
