“It is an exciting and daunting challenge we have taken on: to form a modern Christian community in an ancient faith - to become the Living Body of Christ in a secular society - to embody a Catholic tradition in a pluralistic world. Thanks be to God that the Holy Spirit is promised to us for strength and guidance.

                We have an inspiring role model in Katharine Drexel. She is recognized now as a saint because she was a woman of worldly wealth who embodied Christ and the Catholic tradition for the poor, the outcast, and the forgotten of society at the beginning of the 20th century. Our task as a new parish is to discern how we will do the same at the beginning of the 21st century.”
