Youth Ministry Parents’ Page Welcome Parents! As much as the youth ministry team is here to serve your teens, it is also here to serve you. As parents or guardians, you are your child’s first and primary youth minister. Through your teaching and example they learn what it means to be a disciple. Just as with any other ministry or minister, it is important to continually renew ourselves for the work before us. With this page we will do what we can to support you and provide you with information to aid you in your ministry to your child. Service with a Smile – An article about encouraging community service within our families Catholic Online – The parenting section of this website has a number of articles and links, both specifically Catholic and more general. Catholic Parenting – It is exactly what it says, a website devoted to the challenges and rewards of parenting from a Catholic point of view. Pastoral Care Resources – This website is maintained by the Archdiocese of Baltimore and provides good information on a variety of “hot button” issues like alcohol and drug use, internet safety, and adolescent grieving. Parent Resources – This page is also maintained by the archdiocese and has hotline numbers for a few different issues.
