Dear Friends in Christ,

The rules seem to change daily as we continue to figure the best path to chart as a society fighting a new virus… since we have never done this before.   As a result of Governor Hogan’s announcements on Monday, Archbishop Lori has now mandated that all public churches and chapels be closed.  This means that the Parish Office vestibule will still remain open seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to receive your donation of canned goods for the Frederick Food Bank (in the blue bins) or your donation of offertory envelopes (through the Parish Office door), but we can no longer open the school chapel there for private prayer.

We are very appreciative to the Shortridge family who are very generously transporting your donations to the Frederick Food Bank for our parish.  The archbishop clarified for us that feeding the poor is an essential function, and so donating and collecting food in this way is exempt from the Governor’s “stay at home” order.

We can all use a laugh during these challenging times, so I am including the one below.
