Dear Friends in Christ

Ever since the very first weekend when we were asked to sacrifice gathering to celebrate the Eucharist for the common good of slowing the spread of the Coronavirus, our parish staff has provided liturgical resources for use at home to help you preserve a sacred space in your week to keep in touch with the divine presence in our midst.  Those resources keep evolving, and I am pleased to welcome you now to our “one click” weekend virtual worship.  Clicking on this link each week will lead you to a prayer time with most of the elements that occur during Mass– except for sharing in the Eucharist (which we look forward to joyfully sharing again in church one day in person!).  If you have children in your house and would like to try a Children’s Liturgy of the Word, please use the resources here.

Each week we will hear from our various musical groups, and various liturgical ministers will be coming to you from their homes.  Discussion questions are also available at this link for your own personal reflection, or to share with others at home.  During the weeks of the Easter season (until the Feast of Pentecost), please have a bowl of water at hand for the baptism remembrance as you begin the liturgy.

On another note– some were surprised to see the condition of my office in yesterday’s Katharine Konnection during the office tour by our Director of Parish Operations, Pat O’Connor.  What was not mentioned at that time was the fact that the school is currently installing a new phone system (which includes our office space) and that some of the piles in my office had been disturbed during their installation work the day before…

Sincerely,

Fr. Keith
