5 April 2020

Dear Friends in Christ,

It’s now DAY 24 since I first wrote on Friday 13 March to announce that we were cancelling all weekend Masses.  We couldn’t have imagined what was in store for us then…..

As it is Sunday, I remind you of the opportunity to pray together at home using the resources (via email or website) we are providing each weekend as this pandemic continues to unfold.  Don’t forget the opportunity for “Coffee and Zoom” today at 12:05 PM, which will start following Governor Hogan’s requested moment of reflection at Noon for first line workers (such as doctors, nurses, clinicians and first responders), for our federal, state, and local leaders, and for those who are suffering or lost loved ones during this pandemic.

This week we will be sending liturgical resources to observe the Sacred Triduum at home, journeying through Holy Thursday and Good Friday, and culminating in the celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord, when we will be inviting you to participate in an Easter Mass.    Throughout this most sacred time of the liturgical year, let us continue to hold one another and the people of our world in prayer.

The weekly bulletin is available here to keep you in touch.   I’ve included a smile below as the pandemic dictates new ways of doing things.  I guess I will have to get my own water gun as a new liturgical supply…

Sincerely,

Fr. Keith
