My fellow parishioners,

I apologize that there is no video this week, but I’m feeling a bit under the weather. Let’s just say that I’ve learned that wearing a mask is not only important in a grocery store but could’ve been really helpful when I was getting mold and mildew off of my deck furniture and shower tiles. The stay-at-home order has not been kind to me!

Here’s an update on the Needy Family Fund, which we announced two weeks ago. We have received over $4,000 from you wonderful parishioners. Theresa Anderson has delivered grocery gift cards to 15 families, a total of 35 adults and children.   If you would like to contribute to the Needy Family Fund, please mail or drop off a check to the office, noting “needy families” in the memo line.  If you know of a family that could use help purchasing groceries, please contact Theresa Anderson in the parish office. Thanks to all who have donated to help our neighbors.

As a parish, we continue to be so blessed by your generosity. Many families have reached deep to make donations to the offertory and mortgage during these past two months.  As a result, we have made our mortgage payments and are able to keep operating shortfalls to a minimum.  We know that returning to normalcy will be a long road and your continued generosity helps us to travel that road together as the people of God.

On a final note, the staff is working to determine how best to implement all of the procedures and guidelines set out by the Archdiocese of Baltimore for resumption of public Masses.

If you have a few spare hours, you can read the extensive communication from the AoB on their website at https://www.archbalt.org/coronavirus/ .  Father Keith and the staff will be communicating with you over the next few weeks as the reopening process in the county unfolds and as we complete the planning process.

Stay well and wash your hands,

Pat O’Connor
