Dear Fellow Parishioners,

Greetings once again from my home to yours.  I hope this Katharine Konnection finds you and your families doing well.  I enjoy seeing everyone in Ana Maria’s videos and connecting with people over coffee & Zoom on Sundays.

Every year during the Easter Season I prepare for our annual Vacation Bible School.  It is one of my favorite events because of the enthusiasm the children share as they learn about the love Jesus has for them and how he is always present to them. Their energy and excitement fills me with much joy. The theme for this year is Jesus’ power pulls us through!  I have been thinking a lot about how I am relying on Jesus to pull us through this pandemic.   I miss worshiping in our beautiful church with all of you, but I know Jesus’ power will sustain us till we can reunite.  It seems like such an appropriate focus for VBS this year.

Even though things are still uncertain, we are planning for Vacation Bible School to happen  29 June- 3 July from 9:00 AM- 12::30 PM. Registration for participants and volunteers will run from 18 May – 8 June and will be available on the website beginning Monday, 18 May. You may register and pay online this year.  If we need to cancel VBS, you will receive a refund.  Please understand that space will be limited, and all volunteers must have the appropriate training set by the Archdiocese.  Volunteers 14-17 years old must have Worthy of the Call training AND ALL paperwork submitted by 3 June 2020. Volunteers 18 and older must complete VIrtus registration, training, and references by  3 June 2020.  You may contact me for reference forms and any questions.

Please continue to pray for those in the Archdiocese and State as they decide how to proceed with reopening.
