Dear Fellow Parishioners,

Throughout these 3 months, I have been reminded how our Faith community gives selflessly in the realization of the Kingdom of God and wanted to use this time to THANK those who have helped out in some way.

When we closed back in mid-March, parishioners reached out to offer help to those in need.  From those volunteers, we were able to “konnect” people who requested to pray with someone; provided rides to appointments (before having to do telehealth calls) & shopped for seniors who couldn’t get to a store.

As time went on, many have offered financial assistance which has allowed us to provide grocery gift cards to families experiencing hard times because of Covid-19. These kind acts of caring for our brothers and sisters is exactly what we are called to do and continues the legacy of our own Beloved Saint Katharine Drexel.

Here are a few quotes from parishioners expressing their heartfelt thanks for gift cards:

My family and I want to say a big thank you gain to the SKD family for the gift cards. It was a great blessing to my family. We really appreciate it all.  May God continue to bless this family. We are so blessed and happy to be a part of this SKD family.  Thanks so much.

My family extends our most profound gratitude for the gift cards you brought from SKD.

This is a huge relief at this difficult time.

Thank you so much for the gift cards. I really appreciate the help.

I also want to thank all those who came out to donate and volunteers at our Blood Drive last Saturday.  We continue to make a difference in the wider community.

Here is a Thank you from the Red Cross:

The American Red Cross is so grateful to all our partners that continue to stand with us through the evolution of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).Your commitment to host a blood drive with the Red Cross truly made a difference! Your team registered 23 total donors, collected 22 pints of blood and recruited 6 first-time donors. Your efforts have helped boost the community blood supply and ensure hospital patients have the lifesaving blood they need.

May God continue to bless everyone for so generously sharing their gifts of time, prayer and stewardship.

Blessings,

Theresa
