9 June 2020

Dear Parishioners,

I am super excited to see people at Mass on Saturday and Sunday this weekend as we hold our first public weekend Masses in months!  This weekend there will be quite a bit to get used to, but we will all manage to adjust.  Once we get one weekend under our belt we will be starting up again with some of our typical (and delayed) Mass events.

  • The weekend of 20/21 June we will be holding our regular Blessings of Fathers for Fathers Day at all Masses (the blessing is “good” in person and through the livestream/recorded Mass) and our first baptisms since Lent began back in February.  (As a side note, if you have a child you would like to have baptized now that we are starting to get back in the swing of things, please reach out to me so we can talk through the details and get you scheduled.)
  • The weekend of 27/28 June we have baptisms of children at the 9:00AM and 11:00AM Masses and a special event at the 5:00PM Mass.  Our three RCIA candidates that were waiting to join the Church at the Easter Vigil will finally be able to celebrate their sacraments of initiation.  I hope you will pray for them as they approach this important step in their faith journey.
  • Finally, the 9:00AM Mass on July 5th will be our rescheduled Blessing of Expectant Parents.  If you are expecting the birth of a child or are in the process of adopting, we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to be blessed and experience the support of our faith community. If you are comfortable attending the Mass we will bless you in person, if you would prefer to participate virtually, you can email me a family photo and we will bless you virtually.  If you would like to participate, either in person or virtually, please drop me an email.
