Many thanks to all who contributed to the collection on Thanksgiving Day for the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs. Because of your generosity, we collected over $600 to support their work in Frederick County. Thanks also to all those who have regularly remembered the poor during the pandemic by bringing donations of canned food to the blue bins for the Frederick Food Bank.
Our parish has been blessed with two parishioners who are trained in the ministry of Spiritual Direction to assist your growth in the spiritual life. A bulletin insert this weekend explains the value of individual spiritual direction. To make arrangements, use the contact information near the front of the bulletin under the title “Liturgy & Prayer.”
This is a year that is so different because of the pandemic. No Drexel Voyagers Christmas luncheon, no children’s Christmas pageant, no New Year’s Eve Interfaith Service, etc. These are some of the ways we sacrifice as a community for the common good, just like each of us wearing masks. All of this will eventually pass, and the joy will be even greater next year when we will be able to be together again for these activities.
In the meantime, registering for our Christmas Masses will open this week. Seating will be limited by Covid-19 restrictions, so we have added a 2:00 PM Mass on Christmas Eve. Please check the bulletin insert for a listing of all of our holiday services. You can sign up for Christmas Masses on our parish website starting this Monday on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be kind to others who may want to attend a particular Mass by making sure to adjust your reservation if your Christmas plans change.
Tuesday is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and a holyday of obligation. Masses will be available (in church and on-line) at 8:30 AM and 7:000 PM. Please make sure to sign up on our website if you are coming to Mass in church.
