If you are having a difficult time in your marriage in some way, it is always better to do something sooner than later. Perhaps the pandemic has added stress on you and your spouse. “Retrouvaille” is a weekend program designed to get your relationship back on track, and the next local weekend is coming up soon on 29-31 January. Do yourself a favor and check elsewhere in the bulletin for further information.
Each month we have a second collection which supports the Frederick Co. Parish Tuition Assistance Fund. Members of all parishes that contribute to this fund are eligible to apply for tuition assistance if their children attend an Archdiocesan-approved Catholic School. A distribution committee (with one designated representative from each participating parish) makes the awards based solely on financial need. Last year a total of $175,000 was awarded to qualifying families in our area! An insert in the bulletin this weekend details the application process for those who would like to apply for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year.
The annual March for Life will take place in Washington DC on Friday 29 January, and a free bus is scheduled to leave Frederick at 9:45 AM that day. You are required to wear a mask on the bus at all times. To reserve your seat, use the contact information available in the bulletin this weekend.
Our Bereavement Ministry is hosting a seminar via Zoom this month to discuss the preparations a person or family might have in place prior to the death of a loved one. This will include matters concerning funeral services, funeral homes, finances, hospice arrangements, and legal concerns. Please register for this session using the information on a bulletin insert this weekend.
Please remember that the completed applications and essays for the Drexel Essay Contest are due in the parish office by this Friday 15 January. Any questions can be directed to Pat O’Connor in the Parish Office.
