       The Katharine Konnection

Dear fellow parishioners,

I trust that you have had the opportunity to use the Lenten resources that the parish has provided allowing you to drawer closer to God through Prayer, Fasting, & Almsgiving.

An ancient prayer that begun centuries ago is the Stations of the Cross.  People would travel to Jerusalem to walk in Jesus’s footsteps from the Garden of Gethsemane to Calvary stopping to pray and remember what happened along the way.  The path he used is called Via Dolorosa, “the way of pain.”  Today we call it Stations of the Cross.

On Good Friday 2 April 2021 at 3:00PM, we will have a program for children to pray the Stations of the Cross.  The children will receive a bag with keepsake items that remind them of what happened at each station.

We will pray the Children’s Stations of the Cross in the church.  There will be plenty of room to be socially distant, but I am asking you to use the link below to sign up if you are planning to attend.  This will help me prepare the keepsake items that will be distributed to the children.  You may also visit the parish website to sign up to attend the Children’s Stations of the Cross.

Hope to see many of our families on Good Friday to remember God’s Covenant with us to have eternal life through the Sacrifice of His son, Jesus.

Blessings,

Theresa
