       The Katharine Konnection

My fellow parishioners,

Governor Hogan’s Announcement

Governor Hogan announced yesterday that all indoor and outdoor restrictions, other than wearing a mask indoors, are being lifted as of Saturday 17 May.  While this is great news, it doesn’t mean you can come to church without a reservation just yet!  We still need to wait for notification from Frederick County and the Archdiocese of Baltimore as to the changes they will be authorizing before we can change our capacity at Mass and other events.  So for now, sign up for Mass, stay six feet apart and keep dreaming about the day when you can enjoy coffee and donuts after Mass again.

Last week, the Archdiocese announced the lifting of certain restrictions. These will be implemented at Saint Katharine Drexel on Pentecost weekend (23/24 May.)  Look for the Katharine Konnection on Tuesday 18 May for more information on those changes.

As always, we appreciate everyone’s cooperation and good cheer as we adjust for the changes that are coming out fast and furious in this crazy time.  We all look forward to returning to normal some day and appreciate your patience as we do this in as organized and safe a process as possible.

Emergency Family Shelter

In this weekend’s bulletin, you will see that $3,200 was collected to support the emergency family shelter that is being created on Hayward Road here in Frederick.

I have great news to report.

Over the last few days, the amount has grown!  Please check out this little video for an update.

Thanks for your generosity to our greater community!
