Our Knights of Columbus Council (and Katie’s Ladies Auxiliary) faithfully serve our parish in many different ways, and we are so grateful to both groups. This weekend they celebrate the installation of new officers, and we congratulate Bruce Blatchley as he is installed as the Grand Knight. Please call the parish office if you would like more information about joining the Knights of Columbus (or Katie’s Ladies Auxiliary).
After the death of a loved one, many people experience the overwhelming pain of grief, often for months or years. As a means of offering support and encouragement to our parishioners who are suffering in this way, we will begin offering the well-respected program GriefShare this month on Wednesday evenings in the Brockway Room. The program is a 13-week cycle that you can join at any point, as each session is self-contained. There is more information in the bulletin and on our website. Please share this information with someone who may benefit. You can make and complete the journey from mourning to joy!
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been collecting food and clothing donations in the Parish Office vestibule. This was particularly crucial when the church was closed for three months… and your generosity in caring for the poor throughout this time has been amazing. With school starting soon, we need to remove the blue bins from the parish office vestibule, and so we ask you to please bring food and clothing donations to Mass with you on weekends, and place them in the blue bins in the narthex.
As you can see on the front cover of the bulletin, we had a large crowd gather for our first “Concert on the Plaza” last Saturday night after Mass. As the Covid-19 crisis continues, there was a wonderful spirit in the air that evening– of parishioners relaxing, enjoying the music, and the nice evening, and simply being together. Thanks to all who made it happen!
