Fr. Keith’s Korner

Welcome to Bishop Bruce Lewandowski who joins us at the 5:00 PM Saturday Mass this weekend to confirm 28 of our teen parishioners.  Our faith community prays that their lives may now reveal more vibrantly the presence of God’s Holy Spirit in their daily actions and interactions.

Our Drexel Essay Contest each year attempts to introduce the inspiring legacy of our patron saint Katharine Drexel to the next generation of our parishioners.  The winning essayists in each category receive either a $1000 college or a $500 high school scholarship.  Contest rules are in the bulletin as an insert this weekend.  To enter the contest, please obtain an application form from our website or the parish office.  Completed essays will be due in the parish office in mid-January.

If you picked up an empty “Box of Joy” in the narthex during the month of September, you are asked to return your filled box (along with $9 to cover shipping) by next weekend.  Our Katie’s Ladies group appreciates your participation in this project, striving to make a difference in the life of a child in far-away part of the world this Christmas.

The rosary is prayed in the school chapel (near the Parish Office) each Thursday at 11:00 AM.  If this time is inconvenient for you, a new opportunity to pray the rosary with others will start this week via Zoom at 7:00 PM on Thursday evenings.  More information is on a bulletin insert this weekend.

Just a reminder that orders for our Holiday Greenery Sale must be placed by next weekend.  Please use the form available on our website or stop by after Mass at the narthex table to place your order for this quality greenery (which will be delivered just before Thanksgiving.) Each year this sale helps to fund our Spring Volunteer Appreciation Party.

Make sure you tell your friends and neighbors about our upcoming HarvestFest on 30/31 October!
