Pope Francis wants to hear from you!

Pope Francis wants to hear from everyone through this Synodal Process.  Please prayerfully respond through our website.  RESPOND HERE NOW! You may also feel free to forward this opportunity to family members or friends who may have fallen away from active life in the church.

Fr. Keith’s Korner

Last Sunday our Knights of Columbus offered a free brunch (after the 11:00 AM Mass) to nearly 300 parishioners in gratitude for your faithful support of our parish during the height of the pandemic.  Because we did not have our Volunteer Appreciation Party for the last two years, we presented Kate Awards to parishioners who, in fact, represented many others who came forward during the pandemic to keep our parish life going in creative Covid ways.  Thanks to the Knights of Columbus and congratulations to our Kate Award recipients!

The season of Advent begins next weekend, and I remind you to arrive early for Mass if you would like to join in some quiet time (during a very hectic season) praying the rosary before Mass during Advent.  New parishioners will be lighting the Advent Wreath each week at Mass, and we will have various Advent reflection books available for home use.  There are Advent supplies (wreathes, candles, and calendars) still available in the narthex this weekend.  A bulletin insert contains information about the Blessing of Oplatki (Christmas wafers) next Sunday at 12:30 PM.

Our Gift Card program generates income (from the vendors–not you!) for our cemetery development fund.  If you are planning to use Gift Cards as Christmas presents or stocking stuffers this year, please consider using the order form on our parish website to purchase them. It is important to note that gift card orders are due in the Parish Office by this Monday 22 November to ensure Christmas delivery.  Bulletin inserts this weekend also offer two other ways to support our parish through the Christmas ornament sale and Katie’s Ladies Christmas wreath raffle.

This week, as a nation, we are invited to turn to

God and give thanks for all that we have.  You are invited to express that gratitude at our Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 AM.  As a visible sign of this gratitude, please bring some items for the food bank.
