This week we are celebrating the five-year anniversary of the dedication of our church building. Due to your generosity in the mortgage collection, we have been able to make our monthly mortgage payment every month—and have even been able to make some extra payments! Thanks so much for your support, which indicates your understanding of how important this is for our future as a parish.
In the bulletin this week you will see an insert with information about education in Haiti. Our most recent “partner parish” activity is providing secondary school tuition aid to members of St. Hubert parish. You can’t imagine how much this gesture of good will means to these families! Please use the form on the insert and return your donation by 15 December to support a student for the upcoming spring semester.
Veterans Day was celebrated this week, and our parish is planning a special gathering of veterans next Sunday 21 November after the 11:00 AM Mass in the Brockway Room. We are hoping to offer our support for the selfless service of our veterans. Please see the bulletin insert this weekend for more information.
Margaret Moos is coordinating our “Almost Christmas” Pageant again this year, helping children to learn the real “reason for the season”. You can register your child(ren) to participate after Mass this weekend and next in the narthex, and everyone is invited to the pageant on Sunday 19 December at 7:00 PM.
Advent begins on 27/28 November. Until then we will have a display of Advent wreathes, candles, books and calendars after all the Masses. You may also order gift cards to use as holiday gifts or stocking stuffers and help our Cemetery Development Fund. Forms are available at the gift card table after Mass and on our website, and orders are due in the parish office by Monday 22 November (to ensure Christmas delivery). And… submissions for the “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest are due by this Thursday!
