I’m excited to announce that our parish has adopted part of Opossumtown Pike to keep clean, and our Environmental Stewardship Committee will be coordinating this new ministry.   You can sign up to help after Mass next weekend, and there is more information available on a bulletin insert.

Thanks to all those who have made a gift or pledge to the Annual Appeal for Catholic Ministries this year.  A portion of the funds we raise are designated for two of Saint Katharine Drexel’s foundations: St. Michael’s Indian School (in Arizona) and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament (in Philadelphia)—so please help us reach our parish goal again this year.  Pledge envelopes are available in the church narthex, or may be on your desk at home!

Please remember in your Lenten prayer our catechumen who is prepared to enter the Church at Easter through the Initiation Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist: Marlaina Blank.  Many thanks to the members of our RCIA team who have nurtured her faith in Christ and deepened her understanding of the church during this past year.

Parents of children in Catholic Schools will want to take note that the deadline for applying for tuition assistance for the 2022-23 academic year is 31 March. The Catholic parishes in southern Frederick County collaborate through the Frederick County Parish Tuition Assistance Fund, and the monthly collection for Catholic School Education goes directly into this fund.  Last year over $175,000 in assistance was awarded, and over $1 million has been awarded to students since the inception of this fund. More information is available on a bulletin insert.

Our 19th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on the Saturday morning of Palm Sunday weekend.  The event is free, but you need to register (a form is in the bulletin and on our website) by 4 April so that we can provide enough eggs for the children to hunt!
