Our annual Pentecost Breakfast will take place in McElroy Hall (in the school building) on Sunday 5 June between the two morning Masses, and we are grateful to the Knights of Columbus who will be preparing the food for that morning.  Make sure you purchase tickets after Mass over the next few weeks in order to celebrate ‘The Birthday of the Church’ together on the great feast of Pentecost.  For new parishioners, this could be an opportunity to see where we celebrated Mass weekly for over a decade before moving into our new church five years ago.

There was a mistake in this Korner last week when the total for Rice Bowl donations was listed as $751.04—it was really $2137.28!  Thanks again to all parish families who participated in this Lenten project.

At a Knights of Columbus state conference in Ocean City MD last weekend, our Katies’ Ladies group received four awards (two 1st place and two 2nd place) for their activities.  Congratulations to Franci Boehl and the other members of our Katies Ladies group for their valuable contribution to our parish life.

Our summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be held from 27 June – 1 July from 9:00-12:30 each day.  Every year it is inspiring to see our parish children singing and praising the Lord with such joy and enthusiasm each morning!  Please enroll your children over the next few weeks using the registration form on our parish website, or the QR codes available on a bulletin insert this week.  Those who wish to volunteer or donate supplies may also do so in the same way.

The greeting card rack in our narthex contains beautiful cards for all occasions personally made by Nancy Bolz. She donates all proceeds to our parish, which has already surpassed $1000.  In addition, her husband Jim Sasiadek committed to matching each card sale with a donation to Catholic Relief Services for Ukraine (which now totals $530).  Our thanks to both Nancy and Jim for their talent and generosity!
