There is a place for everyone at Saint Katharine Drexel, and that is especially true regarding children on Sunday morning.  At both the 9:00 and 11:00 AM Masses, our four Children’s Ministries gladly accommodate children of all ages (as described on the bulletin cover).  The experience of Mass is not really oriented to younger children with shorter attention spans, and so we put a lot of parish effort into providing a special place where children of this age will feel welcome and can grow spiritually.  If you have younger children who become fussy during Mass (especially on Saturday evening) and make it difficult for other parishioners to hear God’s Word proclaimed, remember that Drexel Place (near Kate’s Café) in the narthex is reserved especially for you, where there is a TV screen and a large window for a visual connection with everyone else at Mass.

This weekend our Foundations of Faith core Faith Formation program starts on Sunday evening at

5:30 PM.    Being formed in God’s image is a life-long endeavor, and our mission as a parish is to support you in that effort, whether you are seven or seventy.  You are invited to join your fellow parishioners in continuing faith formation through the various programs being offered this fall.  Please register using the information available on our parish website.

Our fall HarvestFest bazaar in October still has vendor spots available, and so if you have a craft to display and sell, please contact Sherry Snyder through the information provided in the bulletin.

The joint parish cruise (with Resurrection parish in Ellicott City) to Norway this summer was so well received that we have scheduled another in March 2024, sailing around the tip of South America from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile.  Holland America is offering the special “Have it all” promotion (a great deal) from now until the end of September.

A bulletin insert offers more details, so check it out.
