The Environmental Stewardship Team invites you to join them at upcoming events:
The next Environmental Stewardship Speaker topic: “Electrify Everything”. Barb Trader and Kathleen Rall from Multifaith Alliance of Climate Stewards, a local faith-based climate advocacy group, will explain how to convert your home to renewable energy sources and save money by taking advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act climate windfall.
When: Sunday, 5 February, 12:30-1:30 pm Brockway Room off the narthex.
Adopt A Road program: Mark your calendar now for putting your faith into action: Help pick up litter with fellow parishioners along Opossumtown Pike and Christophers Crossing April 15, June 17, Sept 16, Nov 4 from 10 am – noon. Details will be found in the bulletin and on our website.
Spring Cleaning Recycling Event. Plan to keep your old stuff out of the landfill. Start now saving your old electronics, textiles, metal, and paper.
When: Saturday 29 April from 9 am-noon to St Katharine’s parking lot where recyclers will collect them and convert them into reusable materials and money for the community.
ACCEPTABLE FOR RECYCLING:
Paper: any documents that you want securely shredded. Limit 3 copy boxes per car
Textiles: old pillows, sheets, towels, curtains, fabric bags, shoes, unwearable clothes
Electronics: games, TVs, computers, phones
Scrap metal: Appliances, lawn tools, metal furniture, anything metal
There will also be a Native Plant sale in the parking lot that day.
