November holds a special place in church tradition as a time to remember our deceased loved ones. You are invited to use the form on our parish website (or in the bulletin) to submit the names of family members and friends who have died during the past year, so that they can be included in a Litany of Remembrance to be prayed at all Masses on the weekend of 4/5November.
Our annual “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” event on 4 November is a great way to get to know other parishioners, as you journey to host homes and don’t know who the other dinner guests will be. So don’t forget to sign up for this fun evening over the next two weekends after Mass— either to be a guest or a host. And thanks to Mike and Anna Middeke for coordinating this great community-building event.
Next Saturday we will have our 5th annual HarvestFest Artisan Craft Fair in McElroy Hall (school building.) In addition to quality artisans offering possible holiday gifts for those on your list, there will be a Sweet Shoppe and food available. Please stop by between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM and help to make this fundraiser a success once again!
For many years we have been offering a “Ministry Fair” each fall to acquaint our parishioners with some of the ways they can become involved in their faith community. Ministries who are specifically looking for more participation at this time will be represented this year—so when you sign up to help, you will know that you are really needed! Please stop by the displays in the narthex after all Masses next weekend.
Just a reminder that orders for our Holiday Greenery Sale are currently being accepted online. Please use the information available on our parish website (or in the bulletin) to place your order for this quality greenery (which will be delivered right to your home.) Each year this Greenery sale helps to fund our Spring Volunteer Appreciation Party. Many thanks!
