Our annual Drexel Voyager Christmas luncheon is a great celebration each year for our senior members and is being held at Dutch’s Daughter on Thursday 7 December. If you plan to attend, please sign up (and select your lunch choice) at the Welcome Center by Sunday 3 December.

Sharing blessed Oplatki (Christmas wafers) at Christmas time is an Eastern European tradition that many families find meaningful. A bulletin insert this weekend contains information about the blessing and distribution of Oplatki in church next Sunday.

Our Gift Card program is currently generating income (from the vendors–not you!) for our Memorial Garden fund. If you are planning to use Gift Cards as Christmas presents or stocking stuffers this year, please consider using the order form on our parish website to purchase them. It is important to note that gift card orders are due in the Pa rish Office by this Monday 20 November to ensure Christmas delivery.

Last spring our parishioners participated in the Honest Conversations about Racism program and completed a survey at its conclusion. A bulletin insert this weekend offers a follow-up report and invites your participation in future planned events.

The response to the Memorial Garden presentation at Mass last weekend has been very encouraging. If you missed it, information (and the video) is available on our parish website. You can call the parish office to place your name on a list to be contacted about the $250 parishioner discount available until 30 December.

This week, as a nation, we are invited to turn to God and give thanks for all that we have. You are invited to express that gratitude at our Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 AM. As a visible sign of this gratitude, please bring some items for the food bank to Mass that day– and remember that the offering will go to the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs, working with the poor right here in Frederick.
