About F.I.R.E.
Faith That Grows Together
Family Intergenerational Religious Education — F.I.R.E. — is a unique opportunity to grow in faith as a community. Open to every household in the parish, F.I.R.E. brings together small groups of families to share, reflect, and learn from one another.
Most F.I.R.E. groups consist of five to seven households, with adult participants taking turns leading sessions. Typical sessions run from 1.5 to 2 hours and are held in participants’ homes.
- Open to every parish household — with or without children
- Small groups of five to seven households
- Adults take turns leading sessions — no experience required
- Curriculum grounded in Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church
- Intergenerational — younger and older participants learn from one another
- Groups based on language and/or ethnicity happily accommodated
How It Works
Flexible, Community-Based Formation
Unlike our other faith formation programs, F.I.R.E. groups meet independently in homes throughout the year on a schedule that works for your group. There is no single parish-wide calendar — your group sets its own rhythm.
When you register your interest, Ana Maria will help connect you with an existing group or help form a new one based on your household’s needs, language preference, and availability.
