The 2026 Pastoral Council Elections

Each year, Saint Katharine Drexel Parish elects four parishioners to serve three-year terms on our Pastoral Council.

The Pastoral Council is a working council made up of 12 elected parishioners who work with Fr. Matt and the Parish staff to help measure, evaluate, and achieve the goals of our Pastoral Plan — a plan shaped by the ideas, experiences, and input of our parish community.

Serving on the Pastoral Council is an opportunity to share your gifts, listen to the experiences of fellow parishioners, and help our parish continue to grow in realization of the Kingdom of God.

Who Can Be A Candidate?

You may be eligible to run for Pastoral Council if you are:

  • A registered parishioner of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Confirmed

You do not need to have served on a parish committee or ministry previously. What matters is a willingness to listen, participate, collaborate, and prayerfully contribute to the life and future of our parish.

Know Someone Who Would Be A Good Candidate?

Think of someone whose gifts, perspective, experience, or love for our parish could benefit the Pastoral Council?

Talk with them and ask whether they would be willing to be nominated — or prayerfully consider nominating yourself.

Submit a Nomination

  • Nominations are due October 9.  Submit your nomination using the button below.
  • Once nominations have been received, nominees will be asked to complete a biographical application form. This information will be shared with parishioners to help them prayerfully consider their choices during the election.  Applications with photos are due by Oct 21

Want to Know More?

If you have questions about the Pastoral Council or what it means to serve, talk with any current Pastoral Council member. Their names are listed on the inside cover of the bulletin, and photos are posted in the Narthex and you can see more about the council here.
