On Campus

Parking is available in the main lot located directly in front of the church. Signed visitor parking for the parish office is located in the side lot in front of the parish offices at the SJRCS building.

During school drop-off (7:30–8:15 AM) and dismissal (2:30–3:15 PM) on school days, the main entrance may experience brief delays. We recommend using the side entrance from Opossumtown Pike during these times. Safety volunteers may briefly pause traffic at entrances during student transitions — we appreciate your patience.

What to Expect

Come as you are. Mass at Saint Katharine Drexel is welcoming, reverent, and family-friendly. Whether you’ve been attending Mass your whole life or this is your first time walking through our doors, you belong here.

Dress: Come as you are — from casual to Sunday best, all are welcome.

Arriving late? Come in and find a seat. We’d rather have you with us than standing in the Narthex.

Young children: Families with little ones are always welcome. See our Children’s Ministries below.

Children’s Ministries

We want families to feel completely at home at SKD. Children’s ministries are available during the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday Masses:

  • Nursery (ages 0–3) — A safe, caring space for your littlest ones.
  • Kate’s Kids (ages 3–5) — Faith-based activities for preschoolers.
  • Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) (K–5th grade) — Children hear the Scripture readings at their level before rejoining the family for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
  • Drexel Place – Need a moment to step aside with an active little one? Drexel Place is a glass-windowed room off the Narthex with a live TV feed of Mass, a quiet kids corner with soft toys and activity books. You’re still part of Mass — just with a little more breathing room.

Accessibility

  • Hearing Loop Devices — Available at the Welcome Center desk in the Narthex.
  • Wheelchair & Walker Seating — Dedicated accessible seating is located in the front right section of the Nave (as you face the altar).
  • Gluten-Free Hosts — Available at every Mass. Sign up on the bulletin board in the sacristy before Mass begins. Gluten-free hosts are distributed in the presider’s line (far left as you face the altar). The chalice at all other lines is also a gluten-free option.
  • Drexel Place — Quiet room off the Narthex with live Mass feed, accessible seating, and a children’s corner.

If you have accessibility needs not listed here, please don’t hesitate to contact our parish office — we’ll do everything we can to help you participate fully.
