In the Catholic Church, we welcome adults into the family of the church through a process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Through this process, adults or children over the age of seven are welcomed into the Church through the celebration of the sacrament of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. People who have not been baptized in other Christian denominations celebrate all three initiation sacraments. People who have already been baptized in another Christian denomination are invited to celebrate the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
